@RevSarahLocke - Homily for the Feast Day of the Circumcision of Christ, 2021

I know it's fun not having to come to church on Christmas any more. Instead, you can watch me on the parish's official YouTube page and eat pizza while doing so! After all, wine and bread are mere symbols of the body of Christ. So pizza sauce and cheese would do just fine and I'm certain Jesus would have done just that if s/he came into today's world. In fact, s/he would condemn all of the people that put her/him in a tiny little god box and pretend that he couldn't have been a goddess.

Well, we know that's wrong. I am not attached to the idea of Jesus having a penis like so many patriarchalist Christians are. Even the more sane egalitarians in those nasty Methodist and Anglican churches could really get a memo that Jesus, more than likely, did not have a penis. That is why I am unable to profess that s/he is the "Son" of God/dess. We are all created in the image of God/dess and the only sex that God/dess would discriminate against would be the masculine sex because s/he believes in reparative justice for the abused and the week. Just look at me. I used this guy who has less than 35 Twitter followers and pasted his own Tweet as my header in order for my horde of Vulgars to mock him until I decide the header has had its usage. Mocking the little is what I do best, especially since I am insecure and have a meager less than 2,000 Twitter followers. But I know people only call others a witch when they themselves are insecure because my theology degree is in Goddess Wicca theology.

So we honor the Feast Day of the Circumcision of Christ today. For years. Centuries. Millenniums. Christians have abused women and have made this feast about the gender of Jesus being male. We know s/he was not a male because we have advanced doctorates of science in transtheory and gender theory now. So that science is debunked. We know countless things as taught by the church mothers/fathers were wrong. God/dess didn't create the world. Evolution did! God/dess didn't flood the Earth. He filled it with gay people! God/dess didn't create Adam and Eve. He created Adam and Steve and Hannah and Eve! It's not just women who suffer birth pangs either. Jesus didn't have a penis, we know now from the critical studies that have been done on NT scholarship. The ones that ignored the obvious testimonies that Jesus was a fe/male. So how was s/he circumcised then?

Well, our more radically progressive sisters and brothers in Christ from the Muslim faith, which is really Christianity+ kind of like Google+ is delivering you this livestream today, know that both women and men are circumcised. Indeed, the Old Testament was so corrupted to the malevolent deity that exists within those pages that we shouldn't even count on it. The Prophet Muhammad did some heavy investigations of the Biblical texts and found that Ishmael was the true descendant of Abraham, Jesus didn't have a penis, and was never the "Son" of God. They are so progressive, they forced the women to cover their faces which is why mine is currently covered right now! They began to circumcise their women.

Some people need to change. So we pray for their hearts to change. They attack our sisters and brothers in Christ as promoting "women's genital mutilation" but that is not what it is. Islam is a beautiful faith and is the epitome of Christian perfection. It does not mutilate the genitals of women any more than Judaism mutilates the genitals of men. It circumcises women. Yes, even women in the Old Testament were circumcised at the age of eight days old. And Mary and her wife Josephine took Jesus right into the temple and the two women had their precious little girl/boy circumcised!

This is the beauty of the Christian faith. Baptism serves as the new circumcision. Jesus's circumcision foreshadows our own baptism. If the Apostless Paulina can make the claim that baptism is the new circumcision, then indeed, it must be so that women and men are both circumcised! Otherwise, women cannot be actually convinced they are sinners since baptism is restores our broken and previously sinful selves to a new life with God/dess. And this is what being a Christian is about. We have perfect harmony between women and men. So much so that we marry women to other women and men to other men yet we call ourselves s/he, her/him, lad/ies, etc.! We have perfect womenness in all of us and perfect menness in all of us. We get in touch with our inward selves and we create the perfect women to find the God/dess.

In the name of the Mother, the Daughter, and the Wife, amen.
