My Endorsement of President Donald Trump for Re-Election - Part 2, Immigration

"As conditions are today, the Americas and Australia in admitting German, Italian, and Japanese immigrants would merely open their doors to the vanguard of hostile armies." -Ludwig von Mises, Human Action, 821

"[Sen. Jeff Flake] is weak on borders and weak on trade!" -Pres. Donald Trump

A common mistake is to turn the topic of immigration into a social justice issue that serves the immigrant who is the one entering into the country and failing to understand the socioeconomic impact on those already living inside a state. Hence, the charge of "racism" is thrown out at regularity by those who demand open borders. And while Christian, as well as liberal-conservative, values are rooted in the freedom to emigrate, this does not guarantee the freedom to immigrate. One can scream, "JESUS WAS A REFUGEE!!!" at the top of their lungs all they want. That does not indicate the Christian social teaching has ever accepted immigration on demand. St. Louis IX, the great Catholic monarch of France, gave an ultimatum to the Jews in his land stating "let Jews give up usury or go from my land". It is simply common sense that immigration has as its ultimate goal "integration, not disintegration or segregation. The immigrant should not only desire to assume the benefits but the responsibilities of joining a nation." (The American TFP, "What Does Saint Thomas Say About Immigration?)

The CATO institute has become so overtly open borders that it has even decided that the warning that Ludwig von Mises gave in the full textbook for Austrian liberalism, Human Action, has all of a sudden become overridden. Let me again state, no one is against emigration nor is any one against immigration! However, immigration, the entrance of an immigrant into a nation is not a matter of social justice for the migrant but also carries a social impact for the country as well.

Hans-Hermann Hoppe has noted that the "unconditional free immigration must be regarded as a prescription for societal suicide" (Democracy: The God That Failed, 160). Such is the current position of the Biden camp which the former Sen. Jeff Flake sees as "more conservative than Trump". But Biden has indicated he is more than in favor of providing healthcare to all migrants. This would lead to an obvious influx in migration from third-world countries that would end up overwhelming our healthcare system. Hence, why Biden is appropriately, "A-Biden, whose name in Greek is Apollyon". But Hoppe indicates that even conditional free immigration which is the kind that the CATO institute promotes is detrimental to society though not in the most overt matter!

"Free trade and markets mean that private property owners may receive or send goods from and to other owners without government interference. The government stays inactive vis-à-vis the process of foreign and domestic trade ... [t]he government's sole function is that of maintaining the very trading-process by protecting citizen and domestic property. ... Accordingly, population movements, unlike product shipments, are not per se mutually beneficial events, because they are not always--necessarily and invariably--the result of an agreement between a specific receiver and sender. ... In this case, immigrants are foreign invaders and immigration represents an act of invasion." (ibid, 161)

If you want to see a live example of some of the invasion that we might be talking about, look no further than California, the home of Sen. Kamala Harris. Overrun it with migrants and give them free leeway and now they have moved into the streets, onto the doorsteps of small businesses, even into major grocery chain retailers. The homeless situation is skyrocketing through the roof as migrants continue to fluctuate in. Some of them are denizens of California who have been forced out of work in favor of Wall Street's cheaper preference to cheat those without social security, and others are migrants that have moved in. Unrestricted immigration becomes a literal invasion because "even life on and off the public streets and parks in the United States and Switzerland is comfortable as compared to 'real' life in many other areas of the world" (162).

As Rothbard himself put it, "Get Rid of the Bums" ("A Strategy for the Right, in The Irrepressible Rothbard, 41). Not only does unrestricted immigration benefit Wall Street by providing them with an infinite amount of cheap labor, it serves to detriment small businesses who will be crushed by skyrocketing homeless numbers that occur as a result of the economic poverty that ensues, it terrorizes personal and private property as a result. Unrestricted free immigration is a bane for society.

Trump is not against immigration. He is fully in favor of immigration and welcoming immigrants who love and want to be benefactors toward American discourse and civil life. Many immigrants want to be as well. Trump's model for immigration matches that of the most sensible immigration model that preserves the private property for its citizens, does not turn on foreigners, and would benefit all Americans by allowing Americans to love and value a society where freedom of life, liberty, and property is guaranteed.

The Flake immigration plan benefits Wall Street execs who can profit on the harm caused by cheap labor to small businesses while surviving harm done to their own because they already have established business models. The Biden plan further detriments and is Hoppe's textbook definition of a prescription for societal suicide. Biden and Flake's models for immigration are nonsense and would ruin America while a tiny minority of Wall Street execs benefit. Once again, this proves that Sen. Jeff Flake and Joe Biden are nothing more than shills for Wall Street and corporate America.
